Stampin' Up!'s Sending Flowers Dies Card Video

These new Sending Flowers Dies are fun and easy. I imagine so many color combinations would be great with these flowers.  They just make it feel like spring is coming on this gray January day.

I used the Soft Seafoam gingham pattern even though I used the Granny Apple Green light blends for the leaves. The Soft Seafoam was less aggressively green which I liked.  Enlarge the photo to see the Wink of Stella on the blossoms too. The flower centers are Basic Rhinestone Jewels.

This is a 15 minutes Stamp With Me video with Tips. (what I mean by that is that it might be most enjoyable to watch/listen while you are stamping too.).

This alternative card has Flirty Flamingo flowers added and a Seaside Spray pale blue background with Basic Pearl Jewels for the flower centers.

Valentine Mini Explosion Boxes Video Stampin' Up! From My Heart Paper

These little explosion boxes aren't new, but I enjoy this smaller size, 2 inches by 2 inches. It easily holds a Mini Curvy Keepsake box, a battery powered tealight, or a golden Ferrero Rocher candy.

In the past 12X12 cardstock was used, and they were 3X3 squares which required a much larger commitment of designer series paper.  Often a 3 tiered cake or baby shoes might also be placed in the center of the bottom of the box.

For the tops of the boxes I used the small stitched, scalloped heart from the Stitched Be Mine dies in the annual catalog, and I made the little dovetailed "for you" tags with the Classic Label Punch (How to can be found in the video.)  There are so many ways you could decorate these little boxes!

Dimensions:

Box Base: Cardstock is a 6"X6" square. Score at 2" and 4". Then turn 90 degrees and Score at 2" and 4" again. Cut off each corner square as shown in the video and fold.

Top: Card stock is 1-1/8" square. Score at 1/2" inch on each of the four sides. Cut only one side of each corner square in only one direction as shown in the video. Fold and add Tear and Tape adhesive to each square to create the box top as shown in the video.

Add a 1-3/4" square of designer series paper to each inner and outer square and to the top

and the inside bottom if you'd like. Embellish as much or as little as you like!

Golden Honey Anniversary Heartfelt Stitched So Sweetly Card

The Golden Honey Designer Series Paper has some great bees and flower patterns, but I wanted to show you these rather masculine dashed diagonal gold on white and black and gold striped patterns. I think they are perfect when you are giving a card to a man and woman as one does for a 50th Wedding Anniversary.

I heat embossed the Heart from the Heartfelt stamp set and the "happy anniversary" from the Itty Bitty Greetings set in gold embossing powder on Versamark ink. The heart was punched using the Heart Punch Pack, and the Happy Anniversary was die cut using the Stitched So Sweetly dies. I added the Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle and colored the rhinestones with a dark Daffodil Delight Blend.

Then I decided to add the 50 using Gold glimmer Paper with a retired number and letters set and backed it with another of the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.
