Stampin' Addicts 2017 Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin' Addicts 2017 Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop!  What do you want to earn for free from Stampin' Up! with each $50 purchases this year???

We have several possibilities to show you this weekend, and we hope you find several items you can't live without!  If you get lost or want to see the list of participants, check out our post on the Stampin' Addicts website.

You may have arrived from Tanya's Tinkerin' in Ink Blog where she showed us some lovely and rich designs with the Designer Tee Stamp Set. Great ideas! Thanks Tanya!

The Carried Away Designer Series Paper (used with the matching die cuts from the Lift Me Up Bundle in the Occasions catalog) was my choice for the hop.

I wanted to use some designer series paper to make calendars for my January class participants to construct.  The hot air balloon is nice because it has a happy vibe to it.  Since I enjoy the paper that appears to be a view looking down from the hot air balloon, I put it on the base of the calendar and attached it close to the back of the coaster so that a person can see most of it.

Stampin' Up! included die cuts for the paper behind the cut out balloon so that we can easily use a variety of cute colors or patterns.  This allowed a nice match with the designer series paper.

Next, I needed a card for a friend who is feeling a bit down, so I thought this designer series paper might have just the pep she needs.

Using the scalloped navy sheet of Designer Series Paper for the hot air balloons makes for a quick card. And since this paper is a Sale-A-Bration offering, I will have enough available to offer at a Stamp A Stack.  I like using it "upside down" from the way Stampin' Up! used it in the brochure. I think it looks like bunting this way, and coloring in the bottom of the balloons with the Night of Navy marker made it look like the basket area was separate.

I usually don't show the inside of my cards, but this card has nine clouds in it. They were die cut using the Big Shot from two of the designer series paper sheets and also some Whisper White cardstock. The sentiment, "Hope your day is on cloud nine" is so silly with the nine clouds, I think. Hopefully, it will make my friend chuckle a bit.

Now it is time to travel to Twila's Stamp A Little Longer Blog on which she is using the lovely sentiment set So Very Much.  I love this set with the that gorgeous Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper--Such pretty designs, Twila.  So elegant!

Christmas Magic Express Train card Stepped Up

You can see the card I gave as an option for Stamp A Stack at the bottom of this post, but I thought I'd show how I decorated some of them a bit more when I mailed them as my own. While I couldn't fully watercolor in bulk, I added some color and Wink of Stella sparkle on the headlamp and colored the greenery in Emerald Envy as well. I used the chalk marker to add to the steam and added Wink of Stella on top of it.  I also added Wink of Stella all over the bell I stamped on the inside...Love the Christmas Magic set!

Fa-la-la-la Friends Bear Hugs Card and Llama Card

I finally sent out most of my Christmas cards today.  There was a lot of fun and variety in Stampin' Up!'s sets this year. I thought these cute stamps were so fun for Stamp A Stack.

I ended up sending several of each myself because they are just so silly!  The inside of the bear card is also stamped with "Bear Hugs for you this Holiday Season."  and the Fa-La-Llama card is stamped on the inside with a decently matching font "Deck the Halls" sentiment from last year.

Merry Tags Christmas mini gift box

At my last class and club, we embellished the cleary tiny treat boxes on page 176 in the BIG catalog with the stamps and dies from the Merriest Wishes and Merry Tags Bundle.  I had everyone emboss the falling dots in gold on Whisper White and we cut the squares to the perfect size to fit in the box.  We use pieces of glue dots to fasten the corners of the falling dots image to the box. I tied the Emerald Envy 3/8 inch taffeta ribbon as well as the gold cord around the box and added an embellished ornament tag and a jingle bell.
