More Monday Butterfly Gala One Sheet Wonder Bookmark Card

Remember these bookmark cards from back in the day?

This is the first use of the top left quadrant of my One Sheet Wonder pdf.  I love the scalloped stitched edge from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits along the edge of the diagonal. It really finishes it nicely. I did have to run it through the big shot twice to get it long enough.  Tear tape sealed the bottom and right edges to the card.

The bookmark was made using the scalloped tag topper punch and a scalloped rectangle.  I wanted the bookmark to be flat, but I stamped the sentiment sideways.  It's an easy fix with dies or punches for the sentiment. giggle!

Thanks for hopping by and reading!

Painted Seasons Part of my Story Woodland Weaving

In the second of the posts I am making about One Sheet Wonders, I used the bottom right quadrant to create this card using the Woodland/Mushrooms/Autumn pattern from the Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper.  This four rectangle design is on a piece of 5" X 3-3/4" Pumpkin Pie cardstock.  The little mushrooms are adorable to me.

I included this second picture because the rectangles will always look better/neater/more symmetrical on the larger 5-1/4" X 4" layer shown below, but I felt I needed the Crumb Cake layer above to make the card less loud and reduce the clash between Pumpkin Pie and Poppy Parade.

This close-up shows that I used the Poppy Parade marker to highlight "you" amidst the Crumb Cake sentiment.  Then the Story Label Punch adds interest on top of a Poppy Parade Oval.  The Old Olive, Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie markers were used to make a gradient on the leaves stamp and dies at the top right and bottom left.  Old Olive and Crumb Cake Linen Thread was used to create a design under the sentiment layer. I like the idea of "weaving" the thread into the story.

Be sure and check back on Tuesday for the next One Sheet Wonder card due to Simple Sunday and More Monday.

Painted Seasons Christmas Faux Gatefold Card One Sheet Wonder

The pieces used on this Faux Gatefold card correspond to the top right quadrant of my new One Sheet Wonder template/Instructions.  There are almost as many templates out there as there are stampers, but I thought I'd show you the cuts I find most helpful. I really enjoyed creating this pattern of Christmas-y hand stamped paper, and I think you would enjoy making some too!

The Shaded Spruce and Poppy Parade on this card pop with the addition of Lemon Lime Twist for the ribbon and little star-like stamps.

The 1-7/8" X 5-1/4" pieces make vertical layers for Faux Gatefold or Gatefold cards, but could also be used alone as a horizontal layer which I will show you tomorrow on this blog.  The posts about my One Sheet Wonder preferences will continue on Tuesday after Simple Sunday and More Monday, so check back if it interests you.  (Or subscribe for daily updates.)

Here is the half One Sheet Wonder I chose to create for these Christmas Cards.  If you only need a few cards, don't make a full sheet.  It is easy to scale my One Sheet Wonder template to just the amount you need!
