Since I wanted to show a rich, Fall color scheme using Calypso Coral with the Beautiful Friendship Set, using the Calypso Coral Scalloped Note Card made perfect sense. The So Saffron iridescent sequins added some shine to catch your eye, and Clear Wink of Stella makes the black flower centers sparkle. Just a 1 inchwide by 5 inch strip of the gingham side of the 6X6" paper assortment made the inside edge pretty.
The stitched rectangle I used was the same one I used on this regular 5-1/2" X 4-1/4" card shown here:
Blue Beautiful Friendship Card This stitched rectangle is the perfect width for the 5" wide scalloped note card, but it needed to be trimmed to 3-3/4" in height. It was easy to reduce the height of the Stitched Rectangle by just re-cutting the edge for a perfect fit on the note card.
I simply lined up the square with the fourth (4th) stitch on each side with the line looking even and cut the die again. The only possible mistake one might make is getting a square removed from the "point" of the rectangle's edge (a notched corner), and the way to avoid it is to adjust it slightly away from the "stitch" and continue to cut it at that distance in the future.
