One Sheet Wonder OSW #4 Painted Seasons

This template above is not meant to be printed and cut along the lines.  The measurements are correct, but the proportion may not be.

Today I'll show you some ways I use the bottom right quadrant. The 1-3/4" X 2-3/8" rectangles can be matted directly onto the 5-1/4"X 4" layer  as shown or...

You can mat them onto a smaller layer which can be layered further for more interest and color. You will need to use these pieces in the direction of the pattern if there is one.

Tomorrow will be the final post for the One Sheet Wonder Series. I will simply use the 4 strip remainders on a card.

One Sheet Wonder Post #3 OSW Painted Seasons

This template above is not meant to be printed and cut along the lines.  The measurements are correct, but the proportion may not be.

1. Cut vertically at 4".
2. Cut horizonatally at 5-1/4".
Now, you will have 4 rectangles/quadrants.

The bottom left quadrant is today's post.  The 1-1/4" squares can be used in a row of three or alternated with another image as I did below.

This notecard seemed perfect for sending a quick note, so I didn't add a sentiment.  Under the succulents and squares is the backside of the Christmas print from designer series paper (dsp) in the large size piece.  It picks up the colors nicely.

This card layout/design is by Simone Bartrum. I loved the opportunity for using patterned paper that it provides.  I shortened the piece on the right of the quadrant and cut down leftover pieces from other quadrants to add the designer series paper to the small flaps.

I had so many beautiful papers from Sale-A-Bration this year that I thought making One Sheet Wonder Cards would really liven up both my blog and my newsletter.  The Botanical Butterfly and Painted Seasons papers have gorgeous designs that perfect for showcasing in One Sheet Wonder style cards.

One Sheet Wonder OSW Post #2 Butterfly Gala Painted Seasons

This template above is not meant to be printed and cut along the lines.  The measurements are correct, but the proportion may not be.

1. Cut vertically at 4".
2. Cut horizonatally at 5-1/4".
Now, you will have 4 rectangles/quadrants.

The top right quadrant is our focus today.  The 1-7/8" X 5-1/4" pieces make a great Gatefold card or  Faux Gatefold.

This Faux Gatefold uses the painted Seasons Set as a Christmas card.  Typically, a One Sheet Wonder is stamped like the card below.  Using designer series paper is also gorgeous for One Sheet Wonder cards for even more variety.

This Gatefold card with Belly Band uses the Butterfly Gala set and Botanical Butterfly designer series paper. What an easy use for these One Sheet Wonder pieces!

One Sheet Wonder Cards help use pretty papers like those we earned from Sale-A-Bration this year.  The Botanical Butterfly and Painted Seasons papers have designs that perfect for showcasing on One Sheet Wonder style cards.

One Sheet Wonder OSW Post #1 Butterfly Gala Painted Seasons

One Sheet Wonder Cards are a wonder-ful way to use (rather than hoard forever) the wonder-ful papers we earned from Sale-A-Bration this year.  The Botanical Butterfly and Painted Seasons papers have gorgeous designs that perfect for showcasing in One Sheet Wonder style cards.

This template above is not meant to be printed and cut along the lines.  The measurements are correct, but the proportion may not be.

Why 8-1/2" X 11" instead of 12" X 12"? When making "custom" designer series paper using stamps, it is easier to use 8-1/2" X 11", and I find the pieces this size template creates easier to manage. I'm lazy like that! :D Other the next few days, I'll you several patterns of paper for these cards, but typically one makes an entire set of these cards in one pattern.  When a stamper uses only one pattern for all seven cards, it is perfect to put in a clear bag or cute box as a small gift for someone.

To begin, make your quadrants which aren't exactly the same size.

1. Cut vertically at 4".
2. Cut horizonatally at 5-1/4".
Now, you will have 4 rectangles/quadrants.

3. Cut the top left 4 X 5-1/4 inch quadrant on the diagonal.

This first card addresses the top left quadrant.  If you'd like to make a card as shown in the Painted Seasons Coral Floral card, you'd need to cut two of the quadrants on the diagonal.  You could select your least favorite of the other design quadrants and just not use it.

This card shows that you can use both sides of double-sided paper. The other side of this floral paper is polka dots and would also make a lovely card! (The Highland Heather piece is a full sheet of 5-1/4" X 4". It could also just be cardstock in a matching color.)

This photo shoes that I lined up the scalloped edge and ran it through the Big Shot twice to make it longer. I then attached it to the back of the floral with the white background.  I then used Tear and Tape on just the bottom and side to create a little pocket when adhered onto the Highland Heather layer of course.

More Monday Classic Geared Up Garage Father's Day card

For this "Souped Up" More Monday version of the Geared Up Garage card from yesterday, I added a stripe of white in the middle and black on the bottom on the car and bright oil cans and gas cans from the Classic Garage designer series paper.  The You're a Classic sentiment is eye-catching in Real Red.

The Happy Father's Day sentiment is layered with 3 Whisper White cut outs of the same shape to add needed emphasis.
