My Inky Friends New Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog Blog Hop

Welcome to My Inky Friends Stampin' Up!'s 30th Anniversary Catalog Hop! SU! is Fabulous at 30, and there were so many cute sets I could have chosen for this hop.  I went with the obvious Best Bunny though, and I'm happy with my choice.

You've likely arrived from Cindy's Heart's Delight Cards where she used the lovely Accented Blooms Bundle for her pretty creations.

For this card, I used the Ruffled Textured Impressions Embossing Folder as a Merry Merlot curtain-y background. I used the cake stand from Cake Soiree as a Basic Grey table.  The Magician's hat was stamped on Whisper White and colored. Then, I added Clear Wink of Stella to it and to the word "Surprise" inside.

 You simply pull the rabbit out of the hat. The table has a bit of cardstock to stop the bunny from falling through, and I'll have a photo tutorial posted for it on Monday.

I also made this little sweetie hopping by and saying, "Hi".

 I didn't want to post this card until my customers and downline had made it, so here it is finally.  I used both the Tufted and Subtle backgrounds. I fussy cut and colored the present and hat with Stampin' Write markers and used the Stitched All Around die around the sentiment.

Abstract Impressions Springtime Impressions Stampin Up! cards

I immediately decided I would want to use the "trash" after sponging color on this pretty die cut. So, I used washi tape to affix the die cut to a cardfront of Thick Whisper White cardstock.

I sponged several new colors: Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, Pineapple Punch and Soft Sea Foam.  I added Powder Pink and then removed the tape.

After lifting the die cut mask/template, I was left with this pretty design.

I finished the card with a Happy Birthday sentiment and circle die cut from the Stitched Labels dies and popped up on dimensionals with a bit of Highland Heather cardstock under it.

I used ovals with Soft Sea Foam for the sponged die cut version.

Abstract Impressions New Colors Card

 

This card uses the Abstract Impressions stamp set with a piece of the mstching designer series paper, Garden Impressions. The new Soft Sea Foam is so light and lovely for the base. Calyso Coral and Petal Punk make sweet blossoms, and Shaded Spruce for stems and sentiment is garden ready. The lovely Petal Pink ribbon is from the Metallic Ribbon combo pack. 

Abstract Impressions Roses Delightfully Detailed Corners Stampin Up! card

This card is on a Granny Apple Green base with a Whisper White layer. The roses are stamped multiple times by twisting the stamp as it is stamped. This was a technique back when we had the set Roses in Winter, so I wanted to try it here and use it for next week's class. I used a Blender Pen to fill in the open areas of the small flowers.

To place the corner stamps, I punched first of course. Then, I lined up the edges of the stamp with the cardstock edges.  I made sure that I covered up the two edge petals of the punch almost completely.  (Just a little sliver should show at the top.)

Stitched All Around Blueberry Bushel Stampin Up! Birthday card

I love the way the cross stitched background can be randomly placed on the card.  It is more striking in real life with the Whisper White peeking through the Xes.  The cute coordination of the edging dies is so pretty to me.  You can also put a stitched oval inside the large layer when it is turned the other (portrait) direction for a cute look.

Blueberry Bushel is a pretty, rich color as well.
