Gentle Peace Nativity Stampin Up! Blendabilities Easel Card

This card will take a while to color at class this week, so we'll probably start with it, and everyone can color at their own pace through the remainder of the cards....To get the bright colors, I used Whisper White for the main image although I wanted the card to be Very Vanilla.  Any white on the edge was colored with the edge of the Light Daffodil Delight Blendabilities.

You couldn't see that it is embossed in gold in the previous picture, but the picture below is WAY too shiney.  We'll have to be careful not to color on the gold...it damages the shine. :)  It looks really bad if you color over the faces, so you really don't want to do that.

White Christmas on Crumb Cake....Over the River and Through the Woods

This simple card is rustic and fun....It will be fairly quick to make, and the White Chalk pen is so nice for adding bits of snow.

MOJO372 Stampin Up! Get Your Santa On

I needed one more Stamp A Stack choice, and loved this week's MOJO Monday sketch for it.  A Quick and Easy choice....

Stampin' Up! Holiday Home Lovely As A Tree

From Twas the Night before Christmas....Clement C. Moore/Major Henry Livingston Jr. I'll let others fight that out....

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below,
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer......

I think everyone will enjoy making this card in December. It has a brayered sky and white Craft ink with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder. Lots to see in this night sky card.

It has vellum over the house to make it look more dreamy and dark.....

Partridge & Pears Stampin' Up! set of cards

I used this set for my Alternative Christmas cards at church.  Since my charity is food based I thought the partridge and pears would be cute.

I started out by coloring the image....Sadly, I ran out of hand strength and Old Olive Blendabilities after about 20....(I had used the Blendabilities for other things too.), so I went with the second and third options....I loved the glitter with the gold embossing which I CASEd from Cindy Beach though my cards are fairly different from hers.  I also CASEd using the Washi Tape and the pennant for the sentiment from a swap card....I have misplaced her name...If you are her, please contact me. :)

I loved the glitter with the gold embossing which I CASEd from Cindy Beach though my cards are fairly different from hers since I used both this Island Indigo and some Cherry Cobbler layers for variety. I also CASEd using the Washi Tape and the pennant for the sentiment from a swap card....I have misplaced her name...If you are her, please contact me. :)
I also CASEd much of the idea for this card from Jaydee (using the Washi Tape and the pennant for the sentiment) from a swap card....I have misplaced her full name...If you are her, please contact me. :)

Flip Flop Flake Letterpress Winter card in Pacific Point

I embossed in Iridescent Ice and used silver and white accents for a simple but sparkly Flip  Flop Snowflake card.

All Is Calm Specialty DSP and Bright and Beautiful with Star Framelits

This is our quick card for this class. We'll make it first because it is white...we can put it away so it won't be damaged. :)  Sadly, the picture doesn't show the shininess of the silver dot on white sheet of paper in the middle,...It is much nicer in person.  You may also choose the "Season's Greetings" sentiment that is part of this set if this one is too wordy for you.

Autumn Holiday Home card...

I made this card using Pumpkin Pie, Crushes Curry, Pear Pizzazz and Soft Sky.  It was reasonably quick, and the house and pumpkin are popped up on dimensionals.

Flip Flop Pool Party Snowflake

I love the Snowflake Card Thinlits die, and I was so happy that it can be used to cut out the rest of the contrasting snowflake too.

Quickest ever White Christmas set card

I wanted to make this card very quick for a stamp a stack, so I challenged myself to make it as quickly as possibly. It took 5 minutes...start to finish....I avoided masking and cutting, but adding a minimal amount of sparkle to the trees and a good line of sparkle to the horizon took a good chunk of my time. :)

Get your Santa On Stampin Up!

This Santa and Stars card is actually quick to make.  I used MOJO Monday sketch 336 and just colored this happy Santa with Stampin' Write Markers.

Modern Festival of Trees Card CASE of Jill Franchett

This is a CASE of a Stampin' Up! holiday catalog card and the color scheme of Jill Franchett with a few small changes.

I love the unexpected color scheme (Bermuda Bay and Old Olive) and clean lines of this card.  I used the wrong "A Merry Little Wish" with this card....The Old Olive sentiment banner will be shorter and smaller when we make it at Stamp A Stack.

Festival of Trees Homespun Card

There will be a few simpler cards this week because I've been making them for my Stamp A Stack next Thursday. This card is slightly rustic with Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler with Mossy Meadow.  I also like the idea that a savvy recipient could remove the main image and use it as a bookmark during the holidays. :) We will stamp off the Tree once before stamping....Mossy Meadow is SO dark!

Stampin' Addicts Winter Holiday Blog Hop - Get Your Santa On

Welcome to the Stampin' Addicts Winter Holiday Blog Hop!  We have several projects to show you, so I hope you'll visit us all.  Should you get lost or want to chat about the hope, visit The Winter Holiday Blog Hop chat thread on Stampin' Addicts. If you're traveling in order, you've just seen Tanya's visions of Santa Creations.  That's quite a set, isn't it?  I especially love the card with the moose in pajamas colored on Mossy Meadow cardstock.  Creative use of the sentiment (on the inside) and gorgeous contrast make an super adorable card!

First, I have this adaptation of Brent Steele's 2008 Convention project in which he made the arms of the Under the Stars bear raise and lower...This little guy is similar, but on a smaller scale....I used the online tutorial by Dawn Olchefske because I guess my convention notes weren't as thorough as hers were. :)  Perhaps it would have been better had I not used Gold Encore Ink on the embossed stars?  The sparkly goldness doesn't show up in my photograph at all.  Oh well....He is off to sit at my mom's house because she doesn't ever throw away my cards. :)  If I kept it, I'd just sit around playing with it all day. :)

Next is this old school clear glass and plastic transparency ornament.  Now we can use our Blendabilities to color on the back side of the image after stamping in StazOn ink.  I used the darkest Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities, but I think it matches the Real Red ribbon best since it is on the transparency. I added a few tiny stars (from the star border punch) to the bottom of the ornament, and I may go back and add stars to each side (to cover) of the blank space on the transparency....I bet that would be cute.

For this week's MOJO Monday sketch ( MOJO366 ) I used the Chimney image with a patchwork of the Trim the Tree designer series paper stack. The silver stampin' dazzle marker worked well for the candlesticks too. The button is layered with a sequin from the Frosted Sequins with a Rhinestone bling on top to hide the hole.

I used real red for Santa's suit to contrast with the rest of the card and add interest, and I decided I really like it that way.

Now, it is time to see lovely Partridge & Pears creations on Mary's blog, Scrap and Stamp with Mary... I love her vibrant colors and that ornament with the star around it--amazing!
