Detailed Santa Thinlits Christmas Shaker Card Stampin Up!

I recently made a Santa Shaker with the Detailed Santa Thinlits Dies.  I was inspired by cards by Patty Bennett (for a shaker) and Cindy Elam (for the paper piecing of his face and hat).  I had to be finicky though and changed some things.  I cut off some of the tiny snowballs from the Whisper White Mini Pompom trim, but they don't move and shake very well.  I used just Dazzling Diamonds glitter so that the background would stay white.

I really enjoy the pennant from the Bunch of Banners Framelits since it has the border around it.  That is perfect for contrast and highlighting with the Merry Christmas from the Star of Light Stamp Set. I can rarely follow Stampin' Up!'s idea to use the sentiment that comes with a set for cards with that set. Oh, well...

Merriest Wishes Stampin' Up! Ornament shaker Card

Using the Merriest Wishes Set and the Merry Tags Framelits Dies with the lovely PIne Bough Textured Impressions Embossing Folder made this card relatively quick. Soft Sky cardstock was rubbed with Garden Green Ink. I had to use the circle dies as well since the ornament was a bit small. I love the Real Red Glitter Embossing Powder and the White and Red Metallic Candy Cane Lane Baker's Twine too!

Stampin' Addicts Winter Holiday Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Stampin' Addicts 2016 Winter Holiday Blog Hop!

Click along as we highlight our favorite Christmas and Winter sets in the new Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.  Should you get lost or want to chat about the hop, here is a link to the chat thread on the Stampin' Addicts website: Chat Thread

If you're hopping in order, you've arrived from Betty's Kitty Stamp Blog. I love her adorable designs and gift packaging ideas with the Yummy Little Christmas set.

First is this little Tic Tac Holder using the Mini Tic Tac Holders from the dollar store.  I didn't know tiny Tic Tacs existed until I saw a video of Halloween ones by Laura Heindl.  Such a cute idea, and they aren't so much larger than the Tic Tac box that they will fold over, wrinkle and rip like the old style used to back in the day.

I thought it would be cool to punch through and show the Tic Tacs as I'd seen done many times in the past with the larger Tic Tac boxes, so I made the Basic Black and Tempting Turquoise one using the Star of Wonder Set.  (The Merry Christmas is not from this set. the project needed a smaller sentiment, so I cut it from the Beary Merry Christmas in the Cookie Cutter Christmas set because I wouldn't use that sentiment.)  Tempting Turquoise is a nice match for the Berry Flavor of Tic Tacs, and the package was placed upside down so that the Tic Tacs would show rather than the label.

( I couldn't resist letting the snowman from the Snow Place stamp set photobomb the picture!)

Next, I made this card with gold embossed stardust trails using the MOJO Monday Sketch MOJO 468. I loved the gold on black look, but I added Crushed Curry under the Star to give it more gold depth.

It is difficult to see the Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper which matches nicely. Maybe this second picture will help if one clicks on it?

Now I know you'll enjoy Sara's Creations with the Christmas Pines set.  Beautiful cards and her Painter's Tray is so lovely. See them on her blog: Lily's Ink Pad

Cable Knit Leaves Stampin' Up! Fall Card

I used the Copper Embossing Powder to accentuate the leaves and added the Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for a cuddly look.  Not sure you can see the lace peeking from under the sentiment, but it adds a little pizzazz to the simple card.
