Stampin' Addicts 2014 Sale-A-Bration SAB Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin' Addicts SaleABration blog hop for 2014!  Hop along with us as we show projects made with each of Stampin' Up! 's fun designs that you can get  for FREE with each $50 purchase (before tax and shipping) with your demonstrator.

You may have arrived from Heidi's blog, Running with Scissors Stamper, where she showed such cuteness with the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper.  I love the black dsp with the Zebra. SO pretty!  Should you get lost or want to chat about the hop, visit the CHAT THREAD on the Stampin' Addicts website.

I chose the Sweet Sorbet Accessories pack.  It come with 10 yards of twine (which is at least double the thickness of our other twine) in each color: Crisp Cantaloupe, Pool Party and Summer Starfruit.  There is also a sheet of adhesive cork designs.  There are 6 flowers and 18 scallops, 10 diamond shapes and 24 slash shapes.  It is obviously beautiful with the Sale-A-Bration designer series paper called Sweet Sorbet, and there are lovely examples in the SAB brochure of the pretty match they make.

First, I made this card with the MOJO Monday sketch from this week MOJO330. I love the tall skinny look of this sketch. (It is only 7 inches in length rather than 8-1/2 for the side that is folded.)

Notice the Pool Party colored twin, the slashes in the top left corner and the white cork flower....It was a lot of fun to use...I was pleasantly surprised to like cork on a card. :) I did cut between the petals a bit to allow some of the petals to lift up off the base more than others.

Next, I made this little matching Ghirardelli cover.  It was designed by Brianna Thompson/mommy-stamper, and it is so sweet for Valentine's day.

Then, I have another card made with the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper and the Crisp Cantaloupe twine. It was quick and simple using the square framelits.  Just add twine and Cork and then some rhinestone bling...Fresh and Fun....

Finally, another MOJO sketch ( MOJO323 ) that I immediately wanted to use with this twine since I knew I had these accessories to showcase for the hop, so I printed it for later use.  This card exhibits a more traditional style with just the twine and a stamped image.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I hope you enjoy the hop as you continue to Tina's Paper Art Garden blog to see the cute Decorative Dots Embossing Folder in action. I especially like the sponged tricolor card. Fun idea!

Crazy Mixed Up Love BEE Mine

Another one for the Crazy Mixed Up Love set....This time I used the little Bee for a Clean and Simple card to donate to the church youth group Valentine fundraiser.

It is simpler than my usual, but the Mojo Monday sketch challenge ( MOJO328 ) added a lot of interest on its own I think.

Simplest Masculine Valentine Ever

Well, it is the simplest valentine I've ever made anyway... :)

This was made with the negative of the LOVE framelit from the holiday catalog. No, it isn't available anymore, but if you already have it, you could really turn out some quick valentines!  I just used the Basic Grey, cute the LOVE framelit, added dimensionals and mounted it on the red layer.  Quick and simple but striking I think.

MOJO 327 Valentine's Day Crazy, Mixed-Up Love

We made this card at class last Thursday and Friday.  I started with last week's adorable MOJO Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO327).  It features the "we blend well!" blender from the Crazy, Mixed Up Love set.  I combined it with the Fresh Prints designer series paper stack, and added some Dazzling Details on the little hearts.

Peaceful Petals Pink Banners

I loved the flowers in the new Peaceful Petals set, and the banner framelits give any set a fresh look. There may have been an easier way, but I cut a banner the size of the image layer using Old Olive and then trimmed it to the size I wanted. I also enjoyed the Arrows embossing folder with it because I think it actually looks like banners too.  Inking the stamp with Melon Mambo and Old Olive and filling in with Pear Pizzazz, Pink Pirouette and Strawberry Slush gave it depth while just using the markers. Dazzling Details glitter glue on each Daffodil Delight center finished it sweetly.

Well, I hope any local customers who see this like it because we will make it at class this week. :)

Stampin' Addicts Occcasions 2014 Catalog Blog Hop Happy Watercolor

Welcome to the Stampin' Addicts 2014 Occasions Catalog Blog Hop.  I hope you enjoy our creations  as we focus on several new spring possibilities from Stampin' Up!.

If you're traveling in order, you've arrived from Deb's Heartfelt Inkspiration blog where she showed off the Life in the Forest set.  I loved the sweet animals and especially her out of the box fox peekaboo window card.  If you should happened get lost or want to chat, just visit the chat thread on Stampin' Addicts.

First, I have this Blue Larkspur card. The card sketch is based on MOJO326, and I used the chalk marker in the center of each flower and outlined each in Midnight Muse.  Then, I filled it with Pacific Point using a blender pen.  The Midnight Muse and Pacific Point layers were adhered together and then run through the Big Shot with the Beautifully Baroque embossing folder.  The Pacific Point Circle was embossed with the Fancy Fan folder.

Next is this little notebook...pssst.....don't forget!  Just simple and quick for those reminders, notes and sketches. It was all stamped on Whisper white, and I was attempting a sketchy look trailing the red dots in a fade to the upper right hand corner.

For this card, I used SASC18....a Stampin' Addicts Sketch Challenge from a while back. I added the new Scalloped Tag Topper Punch for the image layer with the scalloped embossing folder for the lower background layer. Dazzling Details Glitter Glue on the center of the poppy give it a little whimsy. I also stamped the watercolor splotch on the sentiment for something different. This poppy is different cut outs layered on top of each other. (See the picture below)

Thank you for stopping by to see the Happy Watercolor set!  Now, it is time to venture on to Sara's Lily's Ink Pad blog to see the Love You to the Moon set. Her sampler frame is so cute! I love all the details!
