Stampin' Addicts 2013 New Colors Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin' Addicts 2013 New Colors Blog Hop!!  We're focusing on all the brand new as well as returning Stampin' Up! colors for our hop, and I hope you'll find some fun projects as you click through the posts. Should you get lost you may find the complete list of participants with links on this thread at Stampin' Addicts.

If you are hopping in order, you've just visited Stamping Addiction where Carmen's scrumptious Baked Brown Sugar confections added it to your "must have" list.

On my blog we'll be .....At the Coast-al, Coastal Cabana.....Sorry, I couldn't help it, and I may have hyped it to much---I don't dance.  This color is different than I imagined, but a fun addition to the In Colors this year.

First I have this bright and silly Margarita card on the right...Oddly, I had to re-photograph it at night so that you can see the "salt' on the edge of the glass when you make the image larger.  It is just clear Dazzling Details of course. The card uses Strawberry Slush (stamped off when ink was used on the right card but not the left card) and Pistachio Pudding.  The Happy Hour set was perfect for the night club scene, but for anyone who thinks they might have trouble finding a use for that one, I also made the card on the left with the Kind & Cozy set (sentiment from Gifts of Kindness). The Strawberry Slush ribbon makes an adorable divider between the top and bottom of the card. I used MOJO Monday sketch 295.

Coastal Cabana can also go masculine...I like the pop of color it added on the Crumb Cake/Kraft (mixed with Island Indigo and browns as well) paper as well as the slightly greener look when stamped on Baked Brown Sugar.  The image is stamped on Very Vanilla which really made the Coastal Cabana ink look darker.

Finally, wanted to show the Coastal Cabana 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim as an edging...It looks nice just wrapped around a layer on a card, but it is SO easy to tuck it onto Sticky Strip too!  The Gifts of Kindness set's polka dots are repeated in the punched scallops on the oval framelit.  Pearls and the "Thank You" from that set (die cut with the Bitty Banners framelits) finish this simple card.

Next, we'll enjoy Crisp Cantaloupe with Heidi....Running With Scissors Stamper Her creations are so pretty.

Oh great, now that song will be in my head! Isn't Daffodil Delight bad enough... now there are two songs I will hear every time I grab those colors. Oy!

I love your custom DSP, and that's a perfect Father's Day card!

I so love this color! I think of the song also! The variety you made is really fabulous! Flowery and masculine all in one color!

Her name was Lola . . Glad I'm not the only one that mixes songs with stamping. Love the cards! Great oval card with the ribbon edging.

Thanks a lot for the ear worm. Not! The last card made me squeal out loud, and my mom loved it, too. I like them all, but that one just jumped right up and said howdy to me!
