Welcome to the Stampin' Addicts Occasion Mini Blog Hop! We're displaying projects made with several of the great new Stampin' Up! dies, stamps and products available starting January 4th. The mini catalog has a lot of different styles and fun new ideas!
If you've followed the hop in order, you arrived from Twila's Stamp a Little Longer blog and enjoyed her cutie pie creations with the PS I Love You set. Should you get lost or want to chat about the hop, join us on the Stampin' Addicts website chat thread here: http://www.stampinaddicts.com/forums/general-stampin-talk/8666-join-us-2011-occasions-mini-blog-hop.html
I'm using the Bordering on Romance set on page 11 of the Occasions mini. It has coordinating Edgelits and Embossing edges too which will make for a lot of fun possibilities. My first card uses the MOJO Monday sketch MOJO221. I like the set with these bright colors, and the new Doily Embosslit sets off the colored circle layers nicely.
The card has a hidden brad which hinges at the So Saffron colored layers.
This next card design is from a swap I received from Melissa Packer. She credited Leslie Miller. Do you love the fun fold and great use for designer series paper? Pink Pirouette and Pretty in Pink with just a touch of Certainly Celery are so springy and reminded me of dogwood so that's the direction I went for coloring. Then, I couldn't help but add the pink mini bling from the Blossom Builders kit on page 18 to the center of the flowers. (I'll share measurements on Monday.)
On this third card, I used StazOn for a bold outline for the images instead of stamping with markers as I did on the previous cards. I was hoping for a weird retro textile look with this one, but I seem to have just managed weird. :) My coloring channels cool first grader instead of the cool messy, outside the lines a little look, and my camera is giving me trouble too! All together now....~imagine~ what I was attempting.... :)
Now you'll want to continue ahead to Cindy's Heart's Delight Cards blog see her gorgeous designs with the Mixed Bunch set.

That first card is amazing!! And I love the fold on the second card -- I'd love more info on it. Fabulous use of that set!
Great set of cards, I have to say the first is my favorite. Can't wait to make one.
I have to admit, I really like the last card :) I was immediately drawn to the colors and all-over pattern. Guess that makes me weird, LOL
Thanks for sharing so many ideas :)
I love dogwoods, so I was definitely drawn to your middle card! I'm gonna try coloring with white myself.
Great projects and I'm likin' the weird one the best ... definitely different and bold!
So pretty! Love the monochromatic pink card.
Fabulous projects Rhonda... the last one is my very favorite!! They just kept getting better and better! Really enjoying the tour, so much talent here!!
I love the pink card! It's so springy and sweet! Would love more info on that fold if you're willing to share.
Love the hidden hinge on the card - gotta try that one! And the pink on pink of the second card is gorgeous. Now I have to go play with that stamp set (that hasn't seen ink, yet)! TFS!!!
Beautiful cards, Rhonda. Love what you did with this set.
Great cards. I love your last one especially the best. I admit to being a little frustrated by this set but you make it look so easy!
I love that last card too! It's funky and fun!! Great job Rhonda on all 3!
Love the pink card - absolutely gorgeous!!
Love the circle card that opens up! What a great idea. And I really like the last card. Doesn't look like a third grader colored it. I ♥ the contrast of the stazon with the marker.
I love all 3 of them! Your camera acting up must have cut out what you didn't like about the last one, cuz I'm not seeing it! lol I love the black to anchor the color. The other two are great also! Can't wait to see how the 2nd one is done.
I love the last card the most-- all are cool, but I love how you colored it!
I love the way you've used this set! The color combinations are great too.
Rhonda, you silly girl! Of course we love the last one too! All 3 of the projects are wonderful and I am excited to try my hand at all of the new ideas you have shown us :)
