You Move Me Stampin Up! set Motion Cards

We recently made the card on the left at both my downline meeting and my Hostess/Club Appreciation Brunch.  When you slowly slide the card from the pocket/Mini Treat Bag, the wings of the hummingbird appear to flutter!  It is such a fun thing that I just had to share it.  I used the Tabs for Everything set and punch to make it really obvious that a person should slide the inner card upwards.

This is such a great Bundle (145322) with plenty of ways to use the trumpet vines, hummingbirds and butterflies, and I love the new Old Olive Mini Chevron Ribbon (144196) too.

The card on the right is almost a CASE of the catalog that I gave to my husband for our Anniversary. For this card, I just changed the butterfly to Pumpkin Pie and Peekaboo Peach and the sentiment to My Heart Flutters ("When You're Around." is on the inside.) I then used regular linen thread since it looks more masculine and natural to me.

Inky Friends' 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog Blog Hop

We're happy you've joined us for the 2017-2018 Inky Friends Annual Catalog Blog Hop!  I hope you find some great ideas as you hop through these fun stamp sets!

If you get lost or want to see the list of participants, go to the Inky Friends Blog to get directions.

If you are traveling in order, you've arrived from Twila's Stamp A Little Longer blog on which she displayed her wild and wonderful creations with the A Little Wild set.

The Beautiful Bouquet set is such a fun little set and seems so versatile to me. I made both a card and a bouquet in a little bottle.  My card is the expected design with "ribbon around the stems with the Happy Birthday sentiment from the set at the bottom.  The bouquet in the bottle has simple floral stems cut down to size with various colors of the same tiny flowers for a kitschy look that will be sweet in my kitchen window.

I also made this simple 4-1/2 inch square card with just the stem stamp and wispy flowers in Pacific Point stamped 3 times without reinking.  The glitter dots add a nice sparkle in the corner of a very simple card.  I hope I've given you just enough inspiration with this set that you thought of cute things ~you'd~ like to make with it. It would be great in autumn colors as well.

Now, we'll continue to Yapha's Stamp and Scrap with Yapha blog to Wake Up with her adorable Coffee Cafe set creations.

MOJO495 Special Reason Eastern Elegance Designer Series Paper

I wanted to use this retiring Stamp Set with the new paper, so I did just that. Dapper Denim and the new In Color Tranquil Tide are just enough of these rich regal colors without being muddy, I think. I used the MOJO Monday sketch ( MOJO495 ) for the layout and I hope everyone will enjoy making it at class this Thursday!

Window Box Thinlits and Retiring Timeless Tags and That's the Tag

At my last class we used the Timeless Tags Thinlits to cut this tag as well as the That's the Tag stamp set for a fun add-on for the Window Box Framlit.  I used the "to my amazing mother" sentiment, but several used the "thinking of you" sentiment to allow a person to give it to anyone. The butterfly from the Butterflies Thinlits carries the airy look onto the top easily as well.  I included a little LED light for my class attendees as well.  Now I just need to find a small gift for my mom to put inside it.

Stampin' Up! Basket Bunch Waterfall Easter Card

This isn't exactly what I first imagined when I decided that I hadn't made a waterfall card for my classes in a while, but I'm pleased with it.  I love the Basket Bunch Stamp Set, and the Textured Impressions Embossing Folder makes a fun background for this card.  The bunny image, chicks, daffodil and egg stamps were used as well as the grass and basket pieces from the matching Basket Building Framelits Dies.

I shortened the basket handle so that it would fit nicely in the allotted space.  The Happy Easter sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, and I used the "PULL" from March's Paper Pumpkin kit to provide an added hint for the card.  The sentiments were die cut using the Bunch of Banners Framelits.  (I'm sure my original instructions came from Splitcoaststampers.)  I hope everyone will enjoy making this motion card at my end March class!

Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper All Occasion Card

This card is of course inspired by the brayered background on page 10 of the Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration catalog. Its base is the fun Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper. I used more muted colors, and combined some colors as well. We'll use the Sponge Brayers for this card as well as the Watercolor Pencils and Blender pens. The flower size will vary based on which one you choose. You can make decisions about the embellishments to make the card your own.  I hope everyone enjoys doing that. The card is lined with Pool Party cardstock.

Avant Garden Sympathy or Any Occasion SC623

Flower card can often be for any occasion, so you'll have lots of choices for a sentiment with this simple card.  I used SplitCoastStampers Sketch Challenge SC623 for this as well. This card will be surprisingly quick for a Stamp a Stack choice.  Both the "Happy Birthday Wishes" and the "Thanks for being you." sentiments from the Avant Garden stamp set fit the sentiment banner as well.

MOJO483 Cool Treats Tasty Treats Frozen Treats Stampin' Up!

Sorry this image is a bit over-exposed...

For this card I used the Cool Treats Stamp Set, Frozen Treats Framelits and Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Following the layout/sketch for MojoMonday Sketch 483, made this card easy to fill with my favorite patterns of designer series paper from the pack.  The circles used the Circle Framelits and Stitched Circle Framelits, and I just added the Peekaboo Peach 3/8" Ruched Ribbon and called it finished. I will allow everyone at March Stamp Club and Class to add some of the Sprinkles Embellishments if they'd like as well.  I was going for a clean/simpler look this time, so I left the image plain.

Celebrations Duo Stampin' Up! simple cards

I love the Celebrations Duo textured impressions embossing folders, but I wasn't sure about the matching set.  I chose to "make do" with the other similar sets that I had and am happy with the results.  My Watermelon Wonder inkpad is SO juicy though, so I had to stamp off once each time I stamped for a pretty match with the cardstock.

The card is the same no matter which sentiment a person chooses which will be useful for my upcoming Stamp A Stack.

Crazy Cake for Stamp A Stack

I made a quicker version of the card we made at last month's class that would work more easily at a Stamp A Stack. The Stamp A Stack will be on February 23rd at 6:30 p.m.

You'll notice that the stamping on this card is only done one time, but is still really cute, I think.  This set is SO fun!

One more Valentine Stampin' Up!

I needed another Valentine, so I used the Bloomin' Heart detailed thinlit with the Falling in Love designer series paper.  I inked only the LOVE from the Hello Love stamp in the Sealed with Love set and added an Ivory Heart under the main die cut.  A small heart from the Sealed with Love set and some pretty gold Metallic Thread as well as the gold Metallic Enamel Shapes complete the card.  It has Happy Valentine's Day stamped inside.

Falling in Love DSP Lace Doilies Stampin Up Card

I love the Falling In Love designer series paper.  The gold and Very Vanilla 3/8 inch metallic ribbon from the Sale-A-Bration catalog is lovely with it and the Sealed with Love Valentine set has so many sentiment options.  The heart sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment are cute in the upper right corner of the card as well.

Carousel Birthday Cupcakes & Carousels Horizontal Gatefold Card

Warning-This card may be too much for some crafters. giggle  At class this week we'll make this card. You are welcome to stop at any point if you think I've gone too far on this card.  This card is a horizontal gatefold with the tent and the Ferris Wheel cut by hand.  I used the matching Cupcakes and Carousels Embellishments kit with this set.

On the inside I used the Suite Sentiments set's Enjoy Life and Have Fun as well as a the hot air balloons from the Lift Me Up set.

Cake Crazy Delicate Details Stampin' Up! Birthday Card

I love the Cake Crazy set for the fun possibilities and design, but it does have some challenges.  I didn't quite get the top sentiment as I would want it, but you do get the idea.  I used Oklahoma City Thunder colors for a design that works for a man or woman.

The cool edge is made with the Sale-A-Bration set Delicate Details.  The idea came from a German Demonstrator blog, Claudias Ecke by Claudia Christensen. So this card is a CASE of her great mitered corners post it technique. I hope everyone enjoys making this card at class soon!
