Welcome to the Stampin' Addict's Retiring Stamp Sets Blog Hop! Join us as we bid farewell to some fun stamp sets that will no longer be available after May 31st. If you've arrived from Shelley's Miss Mad Stamper blog, you enjoyed her dramatic creations with the Fifth Avenue Floral set , but if not, the blog is circular, so you won't miss a thing if you just click next. Should you get lost or want to see a list of the hop stops, visit the Retiring Stamps Blog Hop chat thread on Stampin Addicts.
I chose the set Inspired by Nature for the hop because I love its versatility. I loved this set with Orchid Opulence because it was so realistic, so I tried it with Wisteria Wonder for a change. I like to intentionally streak the petals because to me they look like that in real life. Corner bling add sparkle and a nod to the retiring ticket corner punch.
In a further attempt to show versatility, I used the retiring Clear Circle big shot die and the retiring Stampin' Pastels. I used the poppin' pastels technique to create bright Melon Mambo petals then made a So Saffron colored background to age the layer and highlight the Very Vanilla seam binding ribbon and pearls.
In this 12X12 layout, I used the main coneflower image to create a stamped break in the picture spots for a sweet look. I realized I hadn't used this set with Peach Parfait and Soft Suede, so I paired them with the chameleon-like green, Old Olive for a sweet look. (The picture featured is of my daughters in the same dress at the same age. My younger daughter is taller than my older daughter by several inches.)
Now it is time to travel to Tanya's Tinkerin' in Ink blog for a look at her lovely creations with the Autumn Splendor set. I hope you enjoy our tour.

Beautiful projects... the scrapbook pages are gorgeous!
Great projects! Love the scrapbook pages! I'm really sad to see this stamp set go though:(
Love the scrapbook layout. Great idea showing your daughters in the same dress; great colors in the layout.
Gorgeous projects!! I love that circle card with the Stampin' Pastels. And what a great set for scrapbooking!
Rhonda, I love what you created with this stamp set. The scrapbook pages are my favorite, so pretty and such a cute little girl too. I finished up the rest of my projects for the hop and have posted them if you want to take a peek. Thanks!
I cannot believe I never got this set - one of my absolute favorites, and I really like what you've done with it! The seam binding with the pearls is something I can't wait to case!
Another stamp set that will be missed. The Stampin Pastels will be missed too! I think anyone seeing what you created should realize that!
Gorgeous! I love all the cards. This was such a great technique set. You showed it off so well.
I can't believe I have never used this set on a scrapbook page. It's coming out of the for sale pile. Beautiful layout! I will have to see if I can find pics of my boys at the same age. Great idea!
Great job Rhonda! I really love it when the petals are streaked like that. Really great SB page too.
Oh, the scrapbook pages are my favorite :) So cute that your girls wore the same dress and that your younger girl is taller. I expect my younger son to pass his brother any day now... :)

Loving Scrapper101
Love all these projects, Rhonda. The scrapbook pages are just lovely. I missed that the pastels are retiring. Good Grief! It's the best and cheapest WoW for beginning stampers!
Lovely projects--- I love the realisticness you added. Coneflower is one of my favorites!
One of my all time favorites! Your streaking technique is beautiful-- looks so real!
I haven't used this set for awhile, but I do love it and you did a beautiful job featuring it on the blog hop.
