Country Home Lane Stampin Up! My Inky Friends Design Challenge MIFDC9

We love for you to join us this week and make a card inspired by this fun sketch on page 16 of the Stampin' Up! 2018-2019  Big catalog.  To enter, make and upload your card and go to our My Inky Friends blog to upload and/or add a link to your blog post .

I changed the sketch just a bit by adding a vertical strip of designer series paper and using a milk can instead of a circle.  The designer series paper strip used is my favorite print in this 12X12" paper.

The woodgrain background design is lovely in the Country Lane paper.  The chicken wire is a lot of fun to use as is the Galvanized metallic paper and Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I love square cards that still fit in a medium envelope.  This one at 4-1/4 X 4-1/4 does just that.

The milk can was stamped on Smoky Slate cardstock and colored with both Smoky Slate Blends to add shadows and spots of discoloration. The little "button" was punched with a 1/2 " circle punch from the Tin Tile embossed sheet of Galvanized paper.

Country Lane Country Home Sampler 9X9 Stampin Up!

This simple and quick sampler uses the cotton from a cotton ball to add dimension to the cotton bolls.  It needed pumpkins to give it a harvest feel, so I cut out the pumpkins from the Toil and Trouble Designer Series Paper to repeat the pumpkins that are in the Country Lane Designer Series Paper.  This frame is brown which matches nicely with the Early Espresso used on the project.

Toil & Trouble Halloween Lollipop Covers

I had so much fun creating these Lollipop covers! You need a FLAT lollipop. I used caramel apple flavored tootsie brand ones.  Some of the green paint from the plastic covers is on the sticks, but hopefully, it doesn't look too bad.

The way these hats coordinate with the other papers really made me happy.  Bat hat with Bat background? I also used the new Mango Melody cardstock for the label. Love it!

I also especially liked the stars with the Star Hats, and putting the cauldron on with the Bubble, Bubble sentiment.  You can get about 46 from one sheet of hat designer series paper. Quick and Cute I think.

Delightfully Detailed Stampin' Up! Suite Designs Inky Friends Blog Hop

Welcome to the Inky Friends Suite Designs Blog Hop. We've each focused on a Suite from the Annual Catalog and tried to make it even more interesting for you!

You may have arrived from Betty's Kitty Stamp Blog in which she focused on the Animal Expedition Suite.

I chose the Delightfully Detailed Suite and wanted to display how much nicer the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper is with the matching notecards and envelopes.  The size of the cards matches perfectly with the rectangular options in the specialty paper. This card is to celebrate an upcoming baptism.

The note card fronts and envelopes are Very Vanilla, and the Memories and More Cardpack items are Whisper White, so they stretch the use of the laser-cut specialty paper since it is Whisper White on one side and Very Vanilla on the other.

This "No Ink No Stamps" card uses a strip of the designer series paper that is the negative of the part we are supposed to use, but I liked the repeat of the "notch" look on the sentiment corners with it. I used the corner of the Everyday Label punch to make the spotted Blackberry Bliss create a matching mat for the Thanks layer.  The thanks is a die cut in the Memories and More card pack.

Now, I'm sure you'll enjoy Mary's creations with the Broadway Bound Suite on her Center Stage Stamping Blog.
