Inky Friends Stampin' Up! A Fond Farewell Blog Hop

Welcome to the Inky Friends' Stampin' Up! Retiring Stamp Sets Blog Hop!

You may have arrived from Mary's Center Stage Stamping Blog where she highlighted the Sweet Cupcake set with fantastic cards.  If you'd like to see the complete list of participants click here: A FOND FAREWELL BLOG HOP

I chose to use Basket of Wishes which is one of my favorite fall stamp sets.  Typically I've enjoyed this set in the fall with a card like this one from 2016:

This time I wanted to make something different. I had in mind to make a strawberry birthday card with this set for my friend who loves strawberries. Then, while on a girls' trip last weekend, I saw some striking socks with strawberries in a basket with a black background.  Since she lives in another city, and I don't see her on her birthday anymore. I bought the socks for her as a funny, and now I can't wait to send the matching card on her birthday. The Basic Black, Pool Party and Real Red make such a striking Color Combo.

I colored the rhinestone bling with the light Cherry Cobbler blends, but I can't wait to get the new Red Rhinestones in the new catalog in June.  The new Call Me Clover ink and ribbon were perfect since I really wanted matching ribbon on this card.

The socks are by Hot Sox.

Now, it is time to continue to Sara's Lily's Ink Pad blog for some great designs with the Garden In Bloom set.

Great idea to show your 2016 card and how the stamp set is still just as versatile two years later. I love how the card matches the socks! Your friend is going to love it!
