Coastal Cabana Monochrome Mother's Day Pop Up Box

This Coastal Cabana Monochrome Mother's Day Pop Up Box will simplify the process a bit for class this week. The flowers and butterflies are on clear plastic extensions. The designer series paper will vary, but I think it will be a nice surprise for all the moms on your Mother's Day list. :)

Sixth Annual Stampin' Addicts Retirement Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Sixth Annual Stampin' Addicts Retirement Blog Hop!  I hope you enjoy this last look at some great sets that will be unavailable after this month.  Should you become lost in our hop, just click over to our chat thread for a complete list.

If you are going in order you've arrived from Betty's Blog, Kitty Stamp, welcome!

These Pop Up Boxes have been so popular lately, and I wanted to make one for class...I started with the basic template and added the Mother's Day sentiments from the My Mother set from the Occasions Catalog. Mom needs flowers, so I added stems and buds from the Secret Garden set.

This card is one I made using the Puzzle Piece Resist technique...It was such a fun card to make at class with my group. I just used the netting background after I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Secret Garden set. Then you emboss with versamark and clear embossing powder, punch the butterflies and sponge on your color choices for a very cool texture.

Using the oval framelit as a card base, added interest to this card. I surrounded the oval with lilies and dahlias from the secret garden set which were also embossed with Melon Mambo embossing powder. Gumball Green leaves (also cut with the Secret Garden framelits) and a So Saffron Bitty Butterfly punch (page 13) fill the remaining space.

Now it is time to continue to Tanya's blog, Tinkerin' In Ink.

Zoo Review World Map Happy Father's Day

For this card, I was inspired by JanTInk's cute Papillon Potpourri card. I realize it isn't much like it now, but it inspired me anyway. :)

I've wanted to use the World Map background with one of the animals in front of it for a while, so I finally did in this Father's Day card.  Lots of smudging for you to do at next class on May 1 or 2, local friends. :)
